Privacy notice
This notice explains what we do with the details you give us when you join the founding list for The Reunion. We keep it short and we only collect what we need.
Who we are
The Reunion brings former pupils back together with their old schools. For this website, The Reunion is responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at hello@re-union.co.
What we collect
- Your name and email address
- The school you went to and the year you left, or the school you'd like to bring The Reunion to
- Whether you're signing up as a former pupil or on behalf of a school
- The date and time you signed up
Why we collect it
We use your details to:
- Tell you about the founding night for your school, including the date, venue and tickets
- Give you early access to The Reunion app when it opens
- Reply to you if you've asked about bringing The Reunion to a school
- Understand which schools and year groups are interested, so we can plan
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the sign-up form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who sees it
We will never sell your details. We won't pass them to your school or to sponsors without asking you first.
Our website and sign-up form are hosted by Netlify, which stores form entries on our behalf. Netlify may process data outside the UK, under legal safeguards approved for international transfers. We may also use an email service to send updates, under the same kind of agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to remove them, or for up to 12 months after the founding night for your school, whichever comes first. After that we delete them, unless you've joined The Reunion app, which will have its own privacy notice.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the details we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your details and stop contacting you
Every email we send will also have a way to unsubscribe. To use any of these rights, email hello@re-union.co and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
